"This has been the most frustrating experience I’ve had with any insurance agency.

Steve Cronin’s office increased my premium by 31.8% year-over-year—with no added benefits and no clear explanation. Worse, I was never notified in advance about this significant hike.

When I inquired, I was given a list of vague excuses and told to blame State Farm, rather than being offered a clear, accountable answer. The agency appears to take no ownership of the policies they sell or the service they provide.

After challenging the increase and choosing not to move forward, I’m now being harassed and threatened with collections for $70.22—an “auto-renewed” policy with "updated terms". I explained that I never received any renewal notice with the new rate, nor their "updated terms". Their response was to cite a changes in their cancellation policy—one I was never made aware of.

I requested evidence that the renewal document was sent directly to me. However, based on Steve Cronin’s own documentation, the materials were mistakenly sent to my mortgage company instead.

The entire experience feels misleading, disorganized, and opportunistic. I cannot recommend this agency based on how they’ve handled what should have been a simple, transparent process.

UPDATE: Multiple representatives from Steve Cronin’s agency have acknowledged over email that there was a processing error related to the policy renewal. However, despite these admissions, the agency continues to pursue payment and has threatened to send the $70.22 balance to collections. This is on a policy they hiked by 31.8% year-over-year."
